Our management group is actively recruiting for dynamic licensed clinicians for our partner agency in Detroit Michigan. Our successful organization seeks individuals who are strong consumer advocates who are passionate about ensuring that mental health services are available to the mentally ill population in Detroit. Clinician must possess solid clinical skills and customer service skills plus have the capacity for problem solving and working in a very fast pace clinic environment.

STATUS:  Full-time, Part-time and Temporary Clinician Positions

     -

- Must be flexible

Starting Salary Range:
Temporary Clinician Positions = $20-$23 per hour (no benefits)
Permanent Clinician Positions = $16.00 - $20.66 per hour (depending on license and degree BAor MA plus benefits)

     * Benefits available for permanent full-time positions

 

Education:                               Completion of Master’s degree in one of the human service disciplines.

 

Experience:                            Relevant field or internship experience.  Must be able to meet professional staff criteria of agency credentialing.  Knowledge of the requirements, regulations, and standards to which this agency must comply.  Must be licensed to get Medicare Identification Number and National Provider Identification Number.

 

SKILLS:                                 Demonstrated competence related to the following:

 

1.       Diagnostic evaluation and assessments for adults and children.

2.       Screening new clients.

3.       Knowledge of community resources helpful but not required.

4.       Time management.

5.       Communicating effectively with the public regarding mental health needs and services in the community.

 

CRITICAL

JOB ELEMENTS:                 Responsible for occasional crisis screening for adults and children and referring client to appropriate staff.

 

Responsible for making clinical assessments to agency appropriateness.

 

                                                Perform central screening.

 

                                                Works cooperatively with other staff.

 

                                                Provide data needed to compile unit reports.

 

Referrals to mental health agencies, hospitals, and other community services if appropriate.
